Extra Curricular Activities

In keeping with the Catholic philosophy of educating the whole person, we encourage students to engage in a variety of activities beyond the classroom curriculum. These include:

Interschool Sport: St. Joseph's competes with local schools in sports such as netball, cricket, football, and rugby league. We regularly play against Wondai, Murgon, and Cherbourg, and also have additional matches with Kingaroy, Taabinga, and Nanango throughout the season.

District and Regional Sport: Students have opportunities to participate in South Burnett and Wide Bay sports trials throughout the year. Additionally, many students take part in the Queensland Catholic Netball Association (QCup) competitions held annually in Brisbane. St. Joseph's has a strong presence in both district and regional sports, with many students representing our state in various events.

Instrumental Program: Our school offers an instrumental program through private teachers who provide lessons during the school day. This program allows students to develop their musical talents and enrich their overall educational experience.

These programs are designed to support and enhance students' academic and personal growth, providing them with a well-rounded education.
